discretion, responsibility, reasonableness, kindness, and humility.
We will consider these vital human attributes one by one.
Truth—God has given each of us a different spirit, and what is perceived as ‘truth’ to one person may be un- derstood differently by another. A person’s definition of ‘truth’ is influenced by various factors, such as environ- ment, religious practices, or education.
All of us have a right to believe according to our values and convictions, and we need not and should not be in- timidated to do so for fear of being judged or criticized. We should always speak our truth, and if we later acquire a different definition, God will give us the opportunity to revise our understanding of its meaning while we are here on earth.
Trust—To us, the meaning of trust is faith, belief, and confidence. When we place our faith in our Maker, we know and have confidence that God will take care of us and provide for all of our needs in the Creator’s time. Simultaneously, while we are living in this world, God gives us the opportunity to place our faith in our mates, partners, co-workers, bosses, children, parents, clergy, doctors, attorneys, pilots, friends, teachers, and many others whom we encounter. In turn, we expect that those individuals will place the same degree of trust in us.
When we break the ties of faith with God, we find our- selves losing confidence in the care that God bestows upon us. However, although we may lose our faith, God loves us no matter what we do and is always ready to take us back. God will restore the faith we lost, even if we often feel be- trayed or abandoned by God, but when we recognize our wrongdoing and ask God to forgive us, the Creator will re- store our faith and show us the way to success.
