Kevin: Chris what has been your greatest achievement in your career particularly at Neudesic?
Chris: I grew up in in an inner city Right after high school
I joined the military as a a a way to escape The military is where I started my career first in computer operations and then in application development After more than 6
years in the military I left but that is where my passion for development started For 25 years of my career I worked on mainframes When I I first started development I I remember being so fascinated that you could tell a a a machine what to do and it would obey My career had gone through many phases but in July of 2000 I I knew that I I was going to experience another huge change Tim Marshall had gone to the PDC and that’s where they introduced and announced NET I distinctly recall a a a conversation with him about NET and I’ll never forget the excitement in his voice We started talking about I recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Chris to re re ect back on his Neudesic career and some of his memories and take-aways Chris imparted his wisdom knowledge and and good charm and and I’m pleased

incredible more than 100 people a a month which was amazing for a a a a user group! I remember at the very first meeting boldly announcing that COM was dead Kevin: I remember that The whole crowd started roaring!
Chris: Yes Tim and I went on to continue those presentations every month At one point we moved our user group from the Taco Bell headquarters to Cal State Long Beach On
occasion we would have as as many as as 300 people show up Incredibly we would fill the venue I’m very proud to have been a a a part of that Kevin: Yeah at some point we couldn’t order enough pizza! To be part of a a technology crossroads was defining for us us for for our customers and for for the industry Chris: I I feel I I can take some credit for teaching 100’s of developers what NET was all about and making it a a a a success in Southern California We did
