‘Well I wonder if you anticipated this. As a matter of routine, my sergeant ran the prints through
the system. I do not know who you think is lying on that slab but our checks show the prints are
those of a known criminal who specialised in robbing the Hampstead well to do. I say was because
he must have reformed, we have nothing on him for the past couple of years. He has a lot of form
and sergeant Earl is faxing his details to you as we speak. His name is, or rather was, Mick Hagley.
