Page 9 - Finding Identity

be facts about who you are now, but ten years from
now, many of your responses would almost
certainly be different. Knowing who we are, what
makes us tick, what makes us laugh, what gets on
our nerves, what brings us true joy—are necessary
things that we need to understand as it affects
everything else. Personal identity affects how we
look at life, how we deal with conflicts, and even
who we choose as friends. We define ourselves by
many things: career, family, status, success but
what if our identity was meant to be in something
else or someone else? How would your life change
if you discovered how God sees you? Do you know
how special you are in God's eyes? If you don't,
that's probably why you're still trying to fit in with
the world.
When you see yourself as Christ sees you, others
may begin to see you that way too. If you are
steady and secure in your identity in Christ, your
actions, speech, and life will express God's love.
