TW Constructors, in a joint venture with Clayco, constructed a new health clinic,
office, and laboratory facility for St. Louis County. The two-story, 93,000-square-
foot structure was built on the site of the John C. Murphy health clinic. In
addition to providing the community with general healthcare services, the clinic
offers a dental services, a chest clinic, radiology and pharmaceutical services as
well as specialized care for infants, children, teens, and women. Adding
complexity to the project was environmental laboratories for air pollution,
industrial hygiene, radiation, air quality, and monitoring including food, milk,
and water analysis.
The project was built to achieve LEED registration with the United States Green
Building Council (USBGC) including high efficiency mechanical and electrical
systems. The wall systems, windows, and roof provide the building with optimal
thermal performance.
