Provence, Languedoc and South West France
We have split the rest of France into 3 regions and the next few sections are some of the smaller known regions but in no means less important. In fact, Languedoc has over 740,000 acres under vine which is three times larger than Bordeaux. No matter where you find yourself in this historic wine country you won’t be far away from a decent drop.
We start off in the very fashionable region of Provence. Thanks to some incredible marketing by a team at Chateau D’Esclans it is very difficult to persuade people Rosé is good anywhere else apart from Provence. If you don’t know Chateau D’Esclans you might know their wine Whispering Angel (Available on request).
