How to Save a Life!

Safety First! The Office of Investigative Services (OIS) continues to provide hands on instruction and
training, so Team DDS is prepared should an emergency arise. Active Shooter training has been
provided to over 700 DDS Team Members. Phase I of CPR-AED training for Safety Captains has begun
with 23 team members being trained. Phase II of Training is to begin in May which will provide
instruction to headquarters Safety Captains. Investigator Greg Dial is the Training Coordinator and
commented, “Training is going well. Everyone has been enthusiastic about the CPR-AED
training. Hopefully no one will ever have to use this knowledge in an emergency, but I am confident
that if they do that they will be ready when called upon.”
