2017 Governor’s Strategic Highway Safety Plan Summit

Several DDS Team Members recently attended the 2017 Governor’s Strategic Highway Safety Plan Summit at
the Georgia Tech Global Learning Center. The goal is to recruit and assist Georgia safety professionals to work
together to promote and improve traffic safety in Georgia to reduce crashes, injuries, and fatalities on Georgia's
roads.
This is a statewide summit that provides a comprehensive framework for reducing highway fatalities and serious
injuries on all public roads. In attendance were Cynthia Zimmerman (IT), Juenesse Holman (Reg Comp), Denae
Hartsfield, Kathy Harvey (Reg Comp), Kecia Bivins (Reg Comp), Jenine Ingram (Govt Affair/Comm), and Jennifer
Watts (GMSP).
These ladies look forward to continuing their work with the various Safety Task Teams.

Reg Comp Director Kecia Bivins presented the goals of the new Motorcycle
Safety Task Force and encouraged Attendees to join our efforts to reduce

fatalities and serious injuries
