DDS Mobile Issuance Brings it Again!

DDS Makes Second Successful Visit to the Military Family Support Center in Marietta

DDS is constantly looking for ways that we can help out in the communities surrounding our 67 Customer
Service Centers (CSC) across the state. When DDS Board Chairman David Connell invited our Agency to
participate in a new service project in Cobb County, we gladly obliged. The Cobb County Military Family
Support Center is a one-of-a-kind facility serving National Guard and Reserve members, retired veterans,
and active duty military personnel and their families. The Center hosts monthly on-site sales (usually 2-3
days) and offers grocery goods as well as a variety of other services (ex. health care screenings, information
booths).

DDS was asked to participate in the Grand Opening last May and provided mobile licensing services to those
in attendance. Our second visit was Saturday, July 22, and allowed DDS to provide a high level of service to
the military community. Once again, DDS made use of its Mobile Emergency Driver’s Licensing -- which
allowed staff to access its internal network while preserving the integrity and security of our licensing
process.

What was unique at this event is that DDS shared table space with the Cobb County Tax Commissioner’s
office. Several customers were able to renew their license and their vehicle registration with one stop!
