St. Patrick in Moravia was founded in 1872, and the church was built and dedicated in 1884. Four years later Father Thomas F. Hickey became St. Patrick’s rst resident pastor. He served there until 1895, later to become the Diocese of Rochester’s second bishop in 1909.
