Faculty News New Dean of the
Faculty of Mechanical
Engineering

RENEWING In January we held a
ceremony marking the change of
dean at the Faculty of Mechanical
Engineering. We said goodbye to the
outgoing dean, Prof. Oleg Gendelman,
thanking him for his wise and dedicated
leadership over the recent years, as
well as his important and appreciated
work. We also welcomed incoming
dean, Prof. Alon Wolf. Your success is
our success!

Reaching for Space

FLYING The Technion recen tly
established a “Rocket Club”, whose
members will design, build and launch
rockets. Under the guidance of Dan
Michaels from the Fine Rocket Propulsion
Center, the club is intended for motivated
and talented students, particularly
from the faculties of mechanical and
aerospace engineering. Its members
will work in professional teams, gain
experience and develop in the industry.
Students who wish to broaden their
knowledge in the field of rocketry, gain
experience with fascinating projects and
work as part of a professional team are
invited to join and take an active part in
the club.
