absorption. Read Colossians 2:20-end. Paul suggests that
taming the beast, really feeds the beast, and makes him stronger!

“If once through fellowship with Christ you died and were
separated from the world’s crude notions, why do you live as
though you belonged to the world? Why submit to rules
such as, ‘You must not handle, you must not taste, you must
not touch,’ which refer to things that perish in the using, in
accordance with human rules and teachings? Such practices
have the outward expression of wisdom, with their self-
imposed devotions, their self-humiliation, their torturings of
the body, but they are of NO VALUE; they really SATISFY
        THE LOWER NATURE.”

Religion is often a subtle way, to get your eyes off of the
Lord, and onto yourself. It seems right, but is really death.
        Proverbs 16:25,

“There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the
        way to death.”

The first mention of Satan in the Bible includes what God
wants us to know most about him. Genesis 3:1,

“But the serpent was more subtle, than any other creature.”

            Chapter 26 Joyful Responsibility 5:15-21

In addition to the blessed responsibility of letting Christ shine on
you, there’s another blessed responsibility illustrated by wine.
