There’s no excuse for not living the Christian life. If you are blind,
don’t worry. He will, give you eyes to see!
Studying EPHESIANS to Know God
Chapter 9 Salvation Past, Present & Future 2:1-10
Let me warn you, brothers and sisters in the Lord. Never
substitute the Lord Jesus Christ, with anything else. No matter
how good that substitute appears to be. Don’t fall in love with
God’s attributes, as if they were separate or distinct from God.
Don’t fall in love, with the love of God. Fall in love, with God
Himself. Face to face fellowship with Him!
You don’t need to go after His power, or His patience. Don’t seek
His wisdom, or His will. Go after Him. Having Him, you have
everything that comes with Him. “He gave Him to the Church.”
“As head over all things.” What does He mean by that? “He
gave Him as head over all things, to the Church.” This is
more than saying, “Christ is head of the Church.” That’s true,

things, for the benefit of the Church.” Let me illustrate it and it
might become clearer. There are a couple of verses that make
you wonder why you ever worry, fret, or ever get anxious in life.

Head. Not just over some things, not most things, not pretty
nearly everything, but for the benefit of the Church, He’s Head
over all things.
If you looked at those old Roman roads with human eyes you
would say, “Those roads were built to spread Roman Imperial
power throughout the earth.” But when you look with the eyes of
