friends and loved ones. Always pray, that God will open their
eyes. No matter how logical and intelligent they are, they are not
going to see, until God puts eye salve on them.
2: If you have a measure of eyesight, don’t be proud. If God has
opened your eyes to see a few things, don’t be puffed up. If you
understand any spiritual mysteries of your union with Christ, it’s
because He, has opened your eyes. Without the revelation of
God, our spiritual eyes, might as well be the eyes of a potato.
The only difference between us believers, is the grace of God we
accept, and see. That’s all. He’s given some, eyes to see a
greater portion of their wealth. Fall on your face and praise Him,
for what He’s shown you. But don’t get proud. Don’t look down
your nose, at those who are still waiting for light. Be very, very,
patient, before the Lord.
That’s Paul’s message. He’s ready to leave the “treasure room”,
and he says to the whole Church, “Remember these spiritual
riches are yours. May God enable you to see them! They are
yours by revelation. You may know the facts. But until he revives
and quickens your spirit, you really don’t know anything.”
That brings us to the last two sections of this wonderful
digression. The “prayer”, and the “song”. Let’s read it together,
verses 14-21,
“For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from
Whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name;
that He would grant you according to His riches in glory to be
strengthened by power through His Spirit in the inner man,
so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, and that
you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to
comprehend with all the saints, what is the breadth and
length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ
that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all
the fullness of God. Now to Him Who is able to do
exceedingly, abundantly, beyond all that we ask and think,
according to the power that works within us, to Him be the
