ADMINISTRATOR’S LETTER
Dearest Team Members,
It is the holiday season, what an exciting time of year! I hope
that you are able to take some time off this season to enjoy the
peppermint mocha’s, holiday shopping deals, and traditional
holiday carols! What a 2019 it has been, cheers to the New
Year of 2020 on the horizon!
As the calendar year comes to a close and we are 6 months
into our fiscal year of 2020, just a few updates I wanted to
share with you as we have two large renovations underway.
As many of you are aware, our Single Plan Interventional
Radiology renovation has begun, effective November 26th, in which our IR technologists
and nurses are down to utilizing 1 room, our bi-plane room for both outpatients and
inpatients. The teams are excited for their new state of the art Siemens Artis Zee Single
Plane Room. This renovation is expected to last 12 weeks, concluding early/mid-
February 2020.
Nuclear Medicine’s GE SPECT CT is also scheduled for a renovation starting Tuesday
December 10th, in which they will receive a new Siemens’s SPECT CT, new control
room, and new reading room for their radiologists. The renovation is anticipated to last
12 weeks, concluding late February / early March 2020.
The diagnostic technologists are in the process of finalizing their vendor selection for
their new fluoroscopy and general x-ray room. More details to come as they participate
in vendor presentations and on-site visits to explore the new technology offered.
Renovation expected to begin late 2020 or early 2021.
To celebrate all of our accomplishments for the year and the holiday season, I welcome
you to join us on Wednesday December 18th at 11am in the Imaging Conference Room
for our annual department holiday luncheon for our day shift team members. Thanks to
our Engagement Committee for selecting an exquisite menu for us all to enjoy! A special
holiday dinner will also be provided for our evening/night shift team members as well
later in the evening as well.
If I don’t see you before the holiday, I wish you a wonderful holiday season with
your family and friends, Happy New Year, and as always, thanks for all the hard
work you do, each and every day!
Emily Lee,
Department of Imaging Administrator
