                18 | WHOLE SCHOOL EVENTS
THE MAIN EVENTS
With the nation in the midst of a global pandemic and children being educated online at home for weeks on end, you would be forgiven for thinking that there wouldn’t be many school events to report on in the annual magazine. And yet, here we are, trying to whittle down and convey just a taste of the dozens and dozens of amazing opportunities and celebrations our pupils grasped and benefitted from over the course of the year. This is just a smattering...
Science Week took place just as pupils returned to school after lockdown and, topically, saw pupils modelling the spread of diseases as well as creating slides for microscope observations and investigating genetics.
The thing that I will remember for the rest of my life is St Andrew’s Day because we made our own hat and it is super fun and the food was always brilliant. Steven Zhang, Year 8
Our traditional, whacky revelry went ahead as usual on St Andrew’s Day with a wonderful Pre-Prep hat parade, a moving chapel service, games and a scrumptious roast followed by a virtual show put together by our awesome gappies.
Holy mackerel! Our pupils embraced the Superheroes Day theme and celebrated the amazing work of people around the country who risk their lives to protect, educate and save others alongside those who simply keep
the country on track. In addition, we celebrated each and every one of our own little superheroes here at school.
