The whole school community took part in the House ‘Virtual Lands’ End to John O’Groats Challenge’ with pupils, staff and parents logging their distances run, walked, swum or cycled for their House.The competition proved so popular, and the tip of Scotland reached so quickly, that we extended the final destination to Hong Kong, home to a number of our boarders.
When pupils were finally allowed back on site they were excited and enthusiastic about our recovery programme. Fun games like Capture the Flag and Sardines allowed pupils to build
up their stamina levels and confidence, but, more importantly, rebuilt the joy of interaction and being around one another in larger groups.
The summer term finally allowed us to resume some sports fixtures – the first cricket fixtures for two years! The boys and girls enjoyed the competitive element and rose to the challenge enjoying very successful cricket seasons.
Our up and coming tennis performance squad worked hard in
their early morning sessions through the summer term with expert coaching from Luciano Cestari and Craig Wells and all
pupils enjoyed trips to our extensive off- site astro courts.We’re looking forward to tennis becoming more of feature in our sports fixture programme next year.
The rain did not stop play for the sporting finale at the end of term. Our Nursery and Pre-Prep sports days were re-located to our capacious sports
hall with each event still run and every pupil taking part. With late news that parents were still not allowed on site for the Prep School sports day, the school took the exciting decision to live stream the event via three professional cameras, perched on scaffolds with
