who were required to quarantine for five days before the start of term! Thank you to the day staff who gave up their holiday time to supervise the quarantining children and make their quarantined stay as enjoyable as possible.
Isolation over, the quarantining boarders joined those who had remained in the UK over the holiday and the summer term started with
a vague semblance of normality! The children enjoyed some wonderful trips to venues including Thorpe Park, Ninja Warrior, paddle boarding on the River Cuckmere and Branching Out Adventures plus frequent trips in to town and to the cinema.
One of the most satisfying takeaways from the complexities of the year
was that the boarders displayed incredible resilience and adaptability as
the pandemic and political landscape adjusted and changed and their wellbeing, positivity and happiness remained intact. They listened and supported each other and made me incredibly proud.
As always, thank you to the Colstocks staff who have also displayed an abundance of fortitude and flexibility this year. You are an amazing team.

Our son really enjoyed his stay, meeting many different people, discovering new topics and practising so much sports at St Andrew’s. Everything he says when he talks about St Andrew’s Prep is positive.”
