AIM:

To propose strategies for land-use and transport integration for

local area plan within a city.

Objectives:

- Understanding of functional and geometric classifications of urban and rural roads and the
cross-sectional elements.

- Understanding how land-use affects traffic and how transport systems influence land-use
changes.
- Learn Methods, surveys, analysis, presentation of transport and land-use data including Road
geometrics and road components, traffic volume, origin destination, spot speed, speed and
delay, FSI utilized density, parking and pedestrian movements.
- Preparation of transport & land-use integration strategies showing circulation plan, land-use
modification, redevelopment strategies, density variation, parking and NMT.

Study Area:

Our site is located on the eastern side of Ahmedabad. Our study area includes Kalupur,
Rakhial, Odhav, Vastral and Amraiwadi area. Our area is around 16 sq. Km. and our area
includes 13 different wards. Total population of our study area is around 4 lakhs and density is
25,500 per sq. Km. (255 per Ha.).
