HIGHWAY MEMORIAL
Jimmy Lassetter (Former owner of Lassetter Propane in Sargeant) was killed in a
propane accident several years ago. His family organized this highway naming in his
honor; and, the Georgia general assembly, by House Resolution HR 451, authorized
that the stretch of Georgia 16 from its intersection with Old Carrollton Road to the
Chattahoochee River be designated as the Jimmy Lassetter Memorial Highway. .
