10 Before Converting
Your Manuscript
to an Ebook
Before you release your remarkable new work to your eager fans, take one last look to make
sure you have done all of the following:
• You have all the necessary components to publish and distribute your ebook – a
properly formatted EPUB, an ISBN, cover art, and complete and accurate metadata.
• You have tested your EPUB to make sure it opens, every link works, and the images are
top quality.
• If you plan to sell your ebook through our retail distribution partners, please review our
ebook retail distribution requirements and ensure your content meets all requirements.
• Once we receive your ebook, our Quality Assurance team will confirm your work meets
all distribution requirements. If it does, your title will be passed along to our retail
partners, who will reconfirm your work meets their standards. When your work passes
this final inspection, it will be queued for release on the retailer’s site. Be prepared for
this step by reviewing the list of Top 10 Reasons your ebook was Rejected.
