Although the canoe is the most commonly owned watercraft and the flatwater kayak is second most common, the flatwater kayak is used most frequently of all boats. Most
households that own a canoe only own one. By comparison, households with flatwater kayaks most often own two or more. This is likely because a canoe usually has two seats
