After hitting ground with our 16' tin sharp as a pin!
boat late in the season going thru one
of our favorite cuts, I was standing
on the bow as we idled slowly out to
deeper water. Looking down into the
1' of our crystal clear water of Lake
St. Clair, I was observing lots of bro-
ken shells scattered, snails crawling
around, and then this lucky find! Ice
Tongs! As you may recall, in the ear-
ly 1900's, and probably earlier, there
were many ice factories scattered
around our area selling our beautiful
ice around the country.
