An ideal teacher in this school will need to be able to teach in
both Afrikaans and English, they will need to be willing to
work outside of the classroom with extra curricular
activities and teacher duties as well as extra classes for
learners.
An ideal teacher in the school needs to implement inclusion
and an accepting atmosphere that welcomes their learners
to the classroom, accepting diversity of learners.
An ideal teacher in the school needs to love teaching and not
just do it as a job, they need to care for their learners and
build a relationship with all learners in their classroom to
ensure trust and respect in the classroom using different
learning methods learners may have.
They should also be fair and transparent regarding school
rules and assessment, and learners need to be afforded
multiple opportunities to finish assessment. Teacher should
be consistent with school rules and their consequences and
follow through when they say they are going to do
something.
