How to play your first chord of A
Learn your first Chord shape, on your guitar following the video
example. -

As we have learned in the previous page that our left hand is numbered.
To play the A chord :
Try placing:

The 1 finger on the 4 String ‘D’ String). : on the second fret

The 3 finger on the 2 string ‘B’ string also on the second fret.
To help have a look at the diagram below.. I have put numbers in the circles where your
fingers on your left should go. Sometimes it helps to remember (with new or complex
chords) to mark which fingers to use on the chart.

the strings try to aim in
the centre of the two fret

although, It’s not always
possible. When you pluck
the strings individually you

sound or dull note. If you
do, then just move your
finger position a few
millimeters up or down until
you get nice crisp notes on
each. Sometimes you may
need to press a little
harder but not too hard!
