The “Think Pink for the Cure” shotgun (breast cancer awareness) took place on July 18, 2018 and it was a huge
success. Players turned up dressed in pink to show their support and enjoyed a different task on each of the 9
holes (which included hitting a pink mannequin on 8A and putting into large pink cups on the greens). Later, a
pink meal was superbly prepared by Chef and his staff. We are truly appreciative of the efforts put in, to make this
event such a huge success by staff in the Golf Shop, Clubhouse (they decorated) and kitchen. Thought provoking
questions were placed on each tee box and later discussed during the meal. Not only was breast cancer a topic,
but sun safety and effectiveness of skin prevention techniques were discussed as well. Thank you all!

We have 2 more shotguns to look forward to: Mexico, at 9 am on August 8 and a 60’s theme with music and a
BBQ at 5 pm on August 22.

Due to the many cancellations during the 9H draw times, we have extended our season by 2 weeks. The last
section game will now be October 10 and our closing dinner will be October 17, 2018.
