for esophageal atresia. Our wonderful China staff faithfully performed his esophageal dilation
treatments until tests showed they were no longer needed. Over the six months he was at
Heartbridge, he gained a respectable 13 pounds. His sweet, curious, and happy personality
inspired lots of interaction from the nannies and lots of giggles from this little cutie. In almost
every photo of Sully, he sported a huge grin or a look that seemed to say, “I’ve got a secret!” In
November, Sully was adopted domestically and graduated from Heartbridge to meet his
forever family. Congratulations to Sully and his family!
In November, we welcomed little Camilla into the home. Camilla’s orphanage had noted that
her abdomen seemed bloated and she was admitted to the hospital for tests. The bloating
subsided and tests were inconclusive, but she then contracted pneumonia. Once she
recovered enough to be stable, she was admitted to Heartbridge where the nannies began to
shower her with care and affection. She is now beginning to gain weight steadily and wants to
enjoy and be a part of the action. She’s starting to babble and will hold a finger offered to her
very tightly. We are thankful that we can partner with our wonderful donors to offer this
beautiful little girl a warm
home where she gets plenty
of love.
