Mukono Program News
So…much…joy from Ian in our Mukono Foster care program!
Lots of wonderful things happening in Uganda this season that I am excited to tell you about in this
latest report.
But first, some international happenings! For the first time ever, LWB’s annual meeting this summer
included international partners from each of our current programs in China, Cambodia and Uganda.
You can see Mukono manager Ken at right, with Leng (middle) who runs LWB Cambodia and Cindy
Wu, who helps to manage LWB’s programs in China. All LWB staff and volunteer attendees enjoyed
having time to discuss the challenges and joys of our work of helping vulnerable children around the
world. Ken’s ability to tell a humorous story at his own expense (one in particular concerning how Leng
found him in the Dubai airport and accosted him on their way to the meeting) captivated everyone
present!
At right, CEO Amy Eldridge is leading a discussion about our Mukono Baby Room program and our
future goals for LWB’s work in Uganda.
