Once Ken returned to Uganda, we received the good news that the wheelchairs that LWB had shipped

to Uganda via a container ship- a process that started in 2017- FINALLY arrived for some of the
children with mobility challenges.

The children are delighted to now
be able to be wheeled around and
to be able to be upright at different
times throughout the day. We will continue to investigate the best
options to help keep all of these kids comfortable and as mobile as
possible.

Another special project that LWB was able to help fund recently was the donation of solar lights and the
Shoe that Grows to an impoverished community on Buvuma Island. This is an island chain outside of
Kampala where there is no electricity available and most of the population is extremely poor and
illiterate. Ken was able to bring several families solar lights,which will provide years of free light for
them as well as shoes for their children, most of whom had never before had a pair of shoes of their
own.
