D.3.3 Management of Barriers
As to ensure the barriers to prevent, control and mitigate the major accident events,
the Company has an established prevention maintenance program.
The preventive maintenance of the barriers includes inspection, testing and services
as to ensure the barriers are reliable, and available during demand.
Critical spares for the barriers are also stocked at the facility/plant as to ensure
continuous available of the barriers.
In the event the barriers fail, a stop work or management of change process will be
implemented and carried out as to ensure the facility/plant will still operate in the
same manner.
D.3.3.1 Safety Critical Equipment (SCE)
The Company has established the safety critical equipment register or listing. Safety
critical equipment are those barriers that are considered critical to avoid or mitigate
major accident events.
Each of the safety critical equipment will be maintained or inspected by the qualified
personnel such as contractor or service providers based on the approved
performance standard (PS). The performance standards (PS) are produced from
related governmental, professional or industrial standards and codes.
The following Table provides the list of safety critical equipment that is being
maintained and managed by the Company maintenance team.
