Year 4R investigated coordinates this week. They were able to
explain what coordinates are and how they can use these to
read and plot different points on a grid. The children were well
engaged in a variety of activities in and out of the classroom.
They had fun drawing different 2D shapes by plotting their vertices on a 4-
quadrant grid. Year 4R enjoyed identifying the features of coordinate grids as
well as to read and interpret different coordinates. They are now working on
decoding secret codes using a variety of coordinates given.
