a) The children are trees. They sway in the breeze by transferring weight from one foot to another, bending their knees.
b) A storm comes and the trees swirl around in a circle one way and then the other.
c) The leaf falls from the tree and the children slowly follow it down to the floor with their whole bodies. The children become leaves on the floor and make a
leaf shape.
d) Tell the children that, like people, no two leaves are the same. Pause the music
and the children freeze in a new leaf shape on the floor. Play the music and the
children move around on the floor in the wind. Repeat three or four times.
e) The children stand and are children again. They bend down to pick up the leaves, throw them up into the sky and watch them fall to the ground. Repeat
several times.
f) The children pick up their leaves and float them around the room up high, down
low and in circles. They float slowly in a gentle breeze and quickly in a strong
breeze. The wind dies down and the leaves float slowly down to the floor.
g) The children lie down until the song is finished.

9. Warm-down and give out magic sparkles: ’Warm-Down Rhyme’ written by Lucy Milan Davis & Sarah Moss

The children are seated. Say the rhyme using the actions from the video.
We’ve had lots of fun in Danceland, (big stretch up with both hands in opposing directions)
But it’s time to say farewell, (wave goodbye with right hand and then left hand)
So let’s take out our magic wands, “ping”, (mime taking out wand and casting spell) And say our magic spell. (put imaginary wand back in lap)
I wiggle my fingers, I wiggle my toes, (actions as indicated)
I wiggle my shoulders, I wiggle my nose. (actions as indicated)
Say abracadabra, 1, 2, 3 (wave magic wand with right hand then count to three with left hand)
And we’re back in the real world (whisper) still as can be. (hands back in laps, sitting up straight and very still)
Give out magic sparkles.
