unemployment is not due to automation; the
unemployment is due to the failure of the system to find

reasonable regulations, and a simplified tax system are
the cures for structural unemployment.
President Trump gave a speech on his
apprenticeship initiative when he stated that there are 6
million job openings in the United States, which is the
highest number of job vacancies on record. But there is
a skills gap between employers who want to hire and
the skills of the workforce. Trump has witnessed the
success of apprenticeship programs in the building
trades. Apprenticeship programs offer job opportunities
without the burden of student debt. To narrow the skills
gap, as part of his economic agenda, President Trump
has instituted an apprenticeship program to train
Americans for the high-paying jobs of the future.

dignity of work and the greatness of the
American worker. .. I, therefore, have
signed an executive order to foster
vocational training and apprenticeships
to help Americans find a rewarding
career, earn a great living, and support

will be able to earn while they learn.”
President Trump on June 15, 2017.
