EotF Experience of the Future
Generic term for all MFY / PI projects
PI Platform Integration
Generic term for McDonald’s internal department, pivotal in developing and overseeing the MFY
and customer service changes
ORB Order Ready Board
Digital display above counter collect orders displaying customer order numbers
SFS Split Function Service
Counter service arrangement where customers order, wait and collect their order at the same
location
DPD Dual Point Service
Service arrangement where customers order at one location and receive their order from a
designated collect point on the counter
MPDT Multi point drive thru
Drive thru lane with more than one order point or COD
SBS Side by Side
MPDT arrangement where COD’s are adjacent each other in two separate lanes
Tandem
MPDT arrangement where two COD’s are within the same DT lane
DT Drive thru
Reference to drive thru building type of drive thru lane depending on context
DA Dining area
Customer / public seating area internal to the restaurant
FOH Front of house
All customer accessible areas internal to the restaurant; DA, WC’s etc.
BOH Back of house
All areas of the restaurant inaccessible to customers; kitchen, store areas, crew areas etc.
Corral
External storage area open to fresh air. Typically used for trash storage, compactors and reverse
logistics
