         Glossary of Terms






         DOT           Department of Transport
         Signage type for typical road signs (heads on posts) such as pedestrian crossings, stop, give way
         etc.


         CI            Centre Island
         First line of equipment, parallel to customer counter

         C/F/P         Chicken Fillet Pie (station)
         VAT fry station (combined) that cooks the above items

         UHC           Universal Holding Cabinet
         Holds cooked proteins after batch cooking but prior to sandwich building

         MFY           Made For You
         Kitchen platform where all sandwiches are assembled to order


         Bev Cell      Beverage Cell
         Designed area to group all drinks equipment together so beverage can be operated as a
         production line. Often linked to McCafe promotion


         BOAT          Beverage Order Assembly Table
         Location where all beverages are placed for runners to collect and present to customers

         OAT           Order Assembly Table
         Location where all sandwiches are placed for runners to collect and present to customers.
         Located at the end of the MFY line


         KVS           Kitchen Video Screen
         Monitor above work stations in the kitchen displaying customer orders to be prepared

         HMC           Happy Meal Column
         Merchandising display in the DA to promote happy meals

         ERDDS         European Restaurant Design Development Studio
         McDonald’s European design team


         SOK           Self Order Kiosk
         Remote order point, away from the counter where customers can order themselves

         Tablet Table
         Feature seating which accommodates fixed, Samsung tablets
