C2.7 Site Signage; DOT
Butterfield Signs will free issue the sign posts, post
cover cap, sign head and clips to the principal
contractor for their installation as identified on
the site specific drawings.
Such DOT type signs are fitted on to posts which
are installed into mass concrete foundations,
typically 500 x 500 x 500mm cube.
- The DOT posts are 1800mm high and should
be set -600mm below local ground level
leaving 1200mm above ground.
- The DOT sign heads should be set 750mm
above local ground level to the underside.
