C3.11 Internal Doors
Any replacement doors must be solid core, with
hardwood lippings and finished in balanced
laminate as identified on the architect’s site
specific drawings.
Where existing door frames are mild steel type or
have been identified by the project manager as
requiring replacement then full door and frame
sets can be ordered using the same process.
Following the installation of new wall finishes,
both laminate panels and/or ceramic tiles, if
insufficient cover is provided by the existing door
frame reveal, then an additional rectangular
HW capping must be installed to provided min
5mm positive cover in front of the line of new
finishes. The new HW architrave must be finished
to match the door frames which are generally
lacquered oak or painted. New architraves
must be installed to each side and door head
with 45 degree mitred corners.
