01 IDENTITY & CULTURE
The growing influence of western civilization compounded with the growing menace of
social media diminishes identity for thousands of tribal youth. This in turn leads to a psyche
that falls easy prey to the allure of quick and short-lived means of gratification. Children and
youth need to be taught and shown how to make the right choices while imbibing respect for
their roots and appreciation for their culture.
