It is the quality, not the quantity, of every individual that we produce that makes the difference to our state or nation.
I want each and every citizen of Meghalaya to be productive. i want every youngster who is going to come out in the world
tomorrow to be the best that you can, to be able to contribute the maximum; to yourself, to your family, to the society, to the
state, to the country and to our mother earth. And it is with this vision and this idea in mind, that we decided that we must
ensure that the best in you comes out.

This programme will help you realise that there is much more to you. A very simple programme that is really meant to bring
out what is there inside you. You always had those qualities in you, you always had that conidence in you. you always had
those skills in you. It just required that little spark to bring out; and I think this programme has done that and I am very
thankful to AVENUES who have been part of this programme to make a change. I think Meghalaya has the potential to reach
           the top.
I was so happy to see the kind of conidence that is in you, while you were speaking out here. And I think this shows that you
           are second-to-none. you are as talented and as capable as any other student - not just in the country, but in the whole world;
but you have to start believing in yourself and have the conidence, have the focus as you mentioned. I was very happy to see
that you were talking about focus, you were talking about goals, you were talking about values, you were talking about what
you want to do. When I know that’s what I want, the decision to have this programme is not even a confusion; because this will
ensure that we have better citizens and more conident citizens coming out.
Lastly, I will tell you that it starts with you. You are at the core of everything that will happen in your future. But while you go
ahead with that thought in mind, always remember that there are people around you. Never forget your family, never forget
your friends, your teachers, your locality, your society, your state and obviously your country.
I am very happy and I want to congratulate AVENUES for this programme that has been done. I can clearly see the
difference in terms of conidence that is there in the children out here; and I know that these two weeks will, in fact, lead to a
huge change in the way you look at yourself, and the clarity that is in your mind. And I hope this programme will do the same
for the rest of the four thousand students that we plan to target as a government throughout the state; that this programme
in the future also continues because, as I said, I want each and every citizen, each and every youth, to be productive and add
positively to the growth of our state and our country.
