Introductions

In the summer of 2018, a small group
of interested citizens began embarking
on the exciting endeavor of bringing a
children's museum to Grand Island.
This group banded together and
developed a steering committee consisting of local
funders, nonprofit and museum professionals, and
community stakeholders. In early 2019, the
steering committee partnered with Hastings
College to complete a feasibility study to determine
sustainability, garner community interest and
support, and collect input for the project.

The mission of the Grand Island Children's Museum
Steering Committee is to determine the viability
and sustainability of a children's museum in our
community.
