TAKE THE PRE-TEST
Use this PSAT information to At the beginning of the course, you will take a pre-test. This pre-test is

2. A calculator that is approved for use on the test. Most graphing
calculators and all scienti�ic and four-function calculators are
permitted, but four-function calculators are not recommended.
The following are NOT permitted:
• Handheld or laptop computers, tablets, cell phones, or
smartphones
• Electronic writing pad or pen-input devices
• Devices that have Internet access, wireless, Bluetooth,
cellular, audio/video recording or playing capability, a
camera, or any other smartphone feature
• Devices with a QWERTY (typewriter) keypad
• Devices with paper tape
• Devices that make noise or “talk”
• Devices that must be plugged into an outlet
3. A watch (to pace yourself as you work through each test section).
If your program has ordered pre-test Student Summary reports, you will
receive one of these reports with your pre-test results. You will learn more
about how to read and use the Student Summary report in the “Use the
Pre-Test Reports” section.
USE THE PRE-TEST REPORTS
Use this PSAT information to Your reports will look very similar to the sample reports in the AccelePrep
supplement the “Use the Pre-Test book. The biggest difference is that the score ranges for the PSAT/NMSQT
Reports” section on page 3. are slightly different from the score ranges for the SAT (see page 8 of this
supplement for more information).
However, your report will tell you the score range for each test section, so
you will be able to see how you did compared to the possible highest and
lowest scores.
