P. 162

He drew me and I followed on,
              Charmed to confess the voice divine.
                          3
               Now rest, my long-divided heart,
                Fixed on this blissful center, rest;
                Here I have found a nobler part,
              Here heav'nly pleasures fill my breast.
                          4
             High heav'n that heard the solemn vow,
               That vow renewed shall daily hear;
                 Till in life's latest hour I bow,
               And bless in death a bond so dear.

       225.  ONWARD CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS
                   ... FikMtsY ADELAifitt·

                Acts 10 23 BATTLE I Matt J61a TRusr
           Onward Christian soldiers, marching as to war;
           We shall not be fearful, Christ looks after us,
           Christ the Royal Master leads against the foe,
             Forward into battle, see His banners go.
                        CHORUS
           Onward Christian soldiers, marching as to war!
            Let us not be fearful, Christ looks after us.
                          2
          All our foes shall tremble, flee and be dispersed,
             In the sacred Name of our Savior Lord,
              Victory is ours, praise our God aloud,
           Let our rivals hear it, and be struck with fear.
                          3
           Like a mighty army, moves the Church of God,
         Brothers we are treading where the saints have trod;
             We are not divided; For the body's one,
             One in hope and doctrine, one in charity.
                          4 .      .
       Crowns and thrones may perish, kingdoms rise and wane,
            But the church of Jesus faithful will remain,
          Gates of hell can never 'gainst this Church prevail,
