P. 347
Oh, my Lord, You will not allow
Me to wander alone, aimlessly, without peace,
Fill my way with thy love and grace.
3
When my journey at last, shall conclude and be won,
Where all pain and all woe is done;
Yet for now I shall sing, to the Almighty Lord,
Let His love be my way's reward.
476. I SAID TO CHRIST
QUIERO LLEVAiiLii CRUZ
.......................... , .............................. .
Luke 9.23 MISSIONARIES/ 1 Co 1.18 CONSECRATION
I promised Christ that I would take His cross,
The cross that He prepared for me;
With joy, I long only to praise His name,
Leaving behind the things I chose.
CHORUS
"Take up your cross and follow me,"
The loving words of Jesus Christ for me;
How could I disregard the tender voice,
Of His redeeming grace?
2
The cross with its despises I will bear,
To any place the Lord commands;
To all my Brethren I will tell the words,
The precious story of His love.
3
I have been crucified unto the world,
A faithful pupil I must be;
A golden crown He'll place upon my head,
When my rough battles come to pass.
4
I have a debt I owe my Saving Lord,
Acquired when I was baptized;
I have to speak to men about His grace,
The word of Christ upon the cross.
