I want to live with my heavenly King,
Upon the shining, bright city of light;
Where all the saints are constantly praising,
Eternally they sing praises to God.

The peace of heaven could never be found
In earthly pleasures or worldly delights;
Only the chosen, the souls who were faithful
They'll live with my King, in eternal repose.

I hear the whispers of songs in the clouds,
Of all the souls who have gone to rejoice;
I will abandon this earthly attire,
And I will rise, to my heavenly King.

There's many souls who are living beyond,
The souls of our Church have gone there to dwell;
They were upright in all truth and in justice,
And now they dwell with the heavenly King.
