He resurrected, spread the news
Unto the world that saw His death;
He took our place upon the cross,
Now He is risen from the grave!

Why must ye seek, Jesus on Earth?
His place is not among the dead;
Mourn Him no more, rejoice and sing,
Proclaim that Christ, the King is living ever more.

They mourned His death and saw the grave,
All those who placed their faith in Him;
With Him they buried all their hope,
Believing He had met His end.

The grave could never hold Him back,
Its prisons were no bind for Him;
Triumphant. Jesus Christ the King
Defeated death with all His might.

He's risen and the shadows fled,
The grave will never daunt our soul;
Though they will die, they will have life,
