Like lovely fragrance, like a pleasant burning incense,
As the perfume dismisses such a precious scent;
Like a burnt off'ring at the altar to the Savior,
Such is the prayer that is filled with love and faith.

Faith is the proof, demonstration of,
All the things that we cannot see;
But we all know that when He's finally appearing,
We all will be as Christ is, Spirit just as He.

The pleasant incense of our off'ring is collected,
By divine servants, angels that serve our Lord;
Because his people here offer their sweet aroma,
The hopeful prayers, a sweet perfume to the Lord.

Elijah's prayer brought a fire from the heavens,
Joshua halted the sun solely by his word;
And Jesus Christ through faith performed the greatest marvels,
