“Yes, the war will cut my life to be short as the light match!
And I tried to cut it short more than it was as I blew the light off
to give the dark back for the evil. The young Vietnamese look
like the candles lights crying in the dark with the disappointment
...!

How long the flames of war were continuing to burn our
life...!”

Nguyen throws an empty pack cigarette, and a used match
into the small garbage can look at the room corner. His feels of
sorrow for the men who were born in the wartime and grew
from the sad bottom of the tired life. The youth have born to be
the fighter even they do not dream and want to be the killer or
will die on the battlefield. Many young soldiers were dies in the
dirty war that created by the dirty politicians in the World to
broke the Earth and push the people toward the suffering. The
young soldier's wives were living in the solitude of anxious
while their children were hungry and cold.

The leaders are always loudly to promote these young
soldiers to be the heroes of the country, but what are the
politicians doing for the people and country? Do the politicians
understand the bad situations of the people, who were living in
shortage and afraid until dead, because of the bombs and shell
fires over their heads?

In the dark room of midnight, Nguyen looks up the ceiling,
stretching his feet onto the living room table and quietly.
