himself, and by the people, not inherited or conferred by the
foreigner force.”
“He earned.”
“No. he conferred by the foreign affair.”
“H...e...y...! Anyway he was an ability person.”
“Yes. But I did not like the way he chooses to build his
power.”
“It is political...! You can do anyway for your goal. King
Gia-Long was chosen French troops for his goal to win Tay-Son
House. It was normal for the politicians.”
“You were dead wrong,” Luat shouted out his words.
Nguyen opened wide his eyes to look at Luat with surprise
and used his forefinger pointing on his chest.
“Was I wrong...?”
“Yes. You must know that nobody loves you as you loved
yourself. No foreigner love Vietnam as Vietnamese people loved
their country.” Luat walked back and forth in the room. He
looked at Nguyen and continued.
“Gia-Long made a big mistake right there. He used the
Bishop of Adyke as his representative to sign the agreement
with France’s King, King Louis XVI.”
“Yes. He did... But the Bishop of Adyke signed the
agreement within Gia-Long words and they had discussed
before.”
Luat started at Nguyen with his fiery eyes, while he shook
his head, sigh. His voice was a heavy attempt.
