Thorn In The Heart

         Union, pulled back to Hung-Yen city and waited for reinforce,
         while the new papers in Hanoi were running other hot battles.

             Vietminh  was  raising  the  full  assault  skill  with  some
         position warfare along the Red River delta as Thai-Binh, Hoa-
         Binh battle. It made General De Lattre De Tassigny falling deep
         in sorry after his son was kill and few dozens thousand soldier
         casualties on Non-Nuoc (Ninh-Binh) battle.

             Nguyen’s  mother  was  sad,  cried  in  silent  of  painful
         suffering.  She  tied  the  white  turbans  on  her  children  and  her
         rough hair head to be in mourning for her spouse,  always lay on
         the bed with his old letters on her hand, and sobbing.


             It  seemed  she  wanted  to  die  until  an  afternoon  Nguyen
         father  stepped  down  from  the  pedicab  with  his  right  hand
         hanged on his neck by the bandage wire.

             Nguyen cried loudly in joyful, pulled off the white turban
         and running toward his father. He held his father right ledge and
         called at the top of his voice:

             "Oh  my  God...!    Mom....!    My-Thanh...!  Father  was  back
         home."

             Nguyen's mother was sitting up on the bed and looking at
         the family picture in renting her heart after she had read the last
         letter  that  Trung-Thanh  sent  to  her  from  Cho-Noi  firebase.  In
         suddenly she threw the picture on the bed while her tears were
         running out on her hollow cheeks. She stood up in a hurry, ran
         out of the door, looked at Trung-Thanh in quietly and fell on his
         left  arms  with  sobbing.  My-Thanh  jumped  around  her  father
         with  her  over  joyful,  hold  her  father  left  foot  and  had  voice
         loudly:


             “Mom...! Father....!  Father....! Home...!”
