French camps, and their troops disappeared around the French
territory in quiet of dreadful. They left the casualties and badly
wounded fighting soldiers crying for help under the weak light
of parachute flares and rain in the tense situation of battle around
the camps.

Sometimes the sound of French machine guns had echoed
over the valley, and the bullets were such as the small fireballs
flying after each one in the dark air to the double enemy places.

At 7:15 PM Vietminh had mass the heavy artilleries to
pound at Strongpoint Beatrice, called hill 506 at Northeast
valley on 41 high way and about two miles from Colonel de
Castries headquarters. Also, Vietminh charged 308 and 381
infantries with their storm voices rising around the hill 506 and
mixed with the noises of heavy guns. At the same time, much
more Vietminh troops with full assault skill were rising
everywhere on the ground as the mushrooms without afraid of
the French machine guns. They rushed forward to the French
central camps, airstrip, and tried to cut the French communicated
trenches between French headquarters and Strongpoint Isabelle
at South of Dien-Bien-Phu and about three miles away from its
headquarters.

All kind of the French guns opened fire at their enemies, but
they could not stop the people-sea forward. Seemed Vietminh
soldiers did not see their friends falling on the ground and did
not hear the thunders blasts with dreadful around them. They
stood out of their positions, holding their rifles, firing and
charged into the French camps as the waves after the waves of
the ocean to resist French machine guns. It made French soldiers
